Has anyone done any research on the schooner Robert Willis? She went down on Lake Michigan with all hands in November of 1853 and a cargo of wheat. She was built at Buffalo in 1850 by Bidwell & Banta and is believed to have gone down somewhere between Manitowoc and the Straits, possibly by the Beavers or Foxes. I'm wondering if anyone had pulled the new micros on the accident or has any better detail.
