That's very sad news...Mike was a frequent poster on this newsgroup and and friend/acquaintance of many Wisconsin tech divers.

:
: It appears that Mike Black, a diver and Janesville Wisconsin resident, has been missing since Friday, November 22. His vehicle and empty boat trailer were found in Milwaukee on Friday. The USCG conducted a search for Mike and his vessel over the weekend but found nothing. Milwaukee Police currently are classifying the incident as a missing person case. The USCG did mention that he had expressed an interest in suicide to a close friend sometime on Thursday, November 21.

: : The Coast Guard has been searching for a missing solo diver/boater this week near Milwaukee. I haven't been able to find any news stories about this. Anyone heard any details?

: : : Brady,

: : : Our foundation has been compiling all Great Lakes shipwreck related scuba deaths since 1970 for the past few years. We have identified about 50 deaths and have decent data on about 20 of them. They are on our website at:

: : : : For the upcoming issue of the Deadeye, I would like to write an article on scuba diving fatalities in the Great Lakes over the past two to three years. (Something cheerful for the holiday season) I know of a couple deaths, but I would appreciate any factual information on any fatalities that may have happened recently.
