Possible Newgroup URL Change

All,

Many of you have recently noticed a number of non-Great Lakes posts on the newsgroup. This is happening because spammers search for newsgroups with the name wwwboard.html (the default name from the software I use) and they use a bot that auto-spams all the wwwboards on their list. These posts will only increase in frequency if I don't change the name of the main page from wwwboard.html to another name.

Subsequently, I will be changing the URL of the newsgroup from wwwboard.html to wreckgroup.html in the coming weeks. The old URL will have a forwarding mechanism to the new URL, but you may have to change existing links.

I will make a post when the change is effective.
