Jodrey Off-Limits

The USCG has placed the wreck of the Roy Jodrey (St. Lawrence River near Alexandria Bay, NY) off limits to divers until further notice.

I was up there this past weekend and we dove the wreck on Saturday with no trouble. Sunday, as we were packing up to leave after the dive, the Coast Guard came by and told us the wreck is off limits. Someone supposedly spotted a small oil slick on the surface (although we didn't see anything) so it's shut down until they determine if the wreck is leaking oil.

Anyone planning on diving the Jodrey should contact the USCG station at Alex Bay before making the journey.
