Are sport divers stealing items or is this just talk. I have not spoken directly with any one who has dove the wreck mor than ons time. : : Sadly artifacts are being removed. The OPP have are currently investigating another incident. If anyone can help in their investigation contact Detective D. Adams at the Goderich OPP detachment. The key is not enforcement but education. Showing the What Will Happen to the Baby Jane and encouraging divers to take the NAS course{Nautical Archaelogical Society} will help. : : Life of a Wexford artifact 1) 87 years on the bottom of Lake Huron 2) Diver steals artifact 3) artifact displayed in divers rec room for about 2 years 4) diver gets embarrassed/ chastised by fellow divers 5) divers throws artifact into land fill garbage site. : : Did you support Bill 13??? : : Dove on sat morn about 4 weeks ago, 2 mugs on a bench plank, as we left a dive boat from a London Shop arrived. Dove the next day 1 mug gone. Pitcher surveyed last year by prop gone. : : Very sad. we are not releasing the location of the other wrecks we have located this year. Acts of feew have spoiled the enjoyment of the masses. : Bob: : Sorry to hear about the thefts. : I hate to say it but it does not suprise me. : We saw the china plate on the stern and the free port hole glass and comented upon returning to the surface that they will probably be gone the next time we come back to the wreck. The working port hole covers were awsome to see as well. Who knows how long they will last. : It really sucks to hear you feel reluctant to release additional sites due to the thefts. : I know some divers who are honest and would love to see all the new sites. : I guess we loose... : Thanks for the information, : Eric P.
