On September 25 (no year cited) Thomas Coffee lost his life while trying to rescue the crew of the Sen. J. H. Whalling (Whaling?), wrecked on a sandbar off Grand Haven. No other info. Hoping to find out the year and some detail of the wreck. Thanks for any help provided.
