: Amy,

: Your father was involved in the raising of the Alvin Clark, a very historic Great Lakes schooner raised from Green Bay in 1969. Dick Boyd of the Wisconsin Underwater Archeology Association gave a presentation on the venture at our conference in March 2000 and mentioned your father quite a bit. There was a book called "The Mystery Ship from 19 Fathoms" that the owner and organizer, Frank Hoffman had printed. It is now out of print and hard to find, but I do have an extra copy. I suspect your father probably already owns this book. If you're interested, Dick Boyd has a ton of original photos and slides taken during the actual work and I believe your father is in many of them. Email me and I can put you in touch with Dick.

: : My father, David Engeseth, was part of a salvage operation of a wreck on lake michigan in the early 1960's. I do not know the name of the ship, but I believe it was on display after the successful salvage, in Door County for a short time. The man who owned the wreck couldn't afford to maintain the ship and it deteriorated and was lost. Any info you have would be great! I would like to put together a commemorative piece for my father.

Amy
I also have a lot of info on the clark and my friend has dove with your father on the clark and has a lot of pictures. My involment with the clark came at the ending years. i could see what i have if you are interested.
