About a month ago someone was asking about a buoy on the Newell Eddy. I dove her twice on Friday and we never did locate the buoy -- which was there last summer. We had to drop a hook, which put us right next to the 2nd mast. We never did journey up the main mast to see if the buoy line was still there.

The good news is the Zebras are still not evident on the wreck. The depth definitely helps.

On the other hand, the William Barnum and the Cedarville are worse than ever. I cleared a small (3 inch diameter) pipe at the boiler which looked to be about 6 inches with the build up of Zebras. It's sad to think that my 12 year old daughter, who was just certified this spring will, perhaps, never see the intricate detail of a triple expansion engine or the numbers on a Scotch boiler.
