I'm Interested in bying a KLEIN 420 or 421SSS
towable side scan sonar, or if converted to the
500 series, RECORDER AND FISH
-----
I have for sale Towable Side Scan Sonar
EG&G Model 272, exactly equivalent to the
KLEIN 400, 500 and 900 series, but the
Marine plug is different, must use the
new marine plus, sale $5,500.00, will pay
for fob shipping, 80 pounds, 4 feet long
1700 watts per channel, reaching range is
to 3000 feet per channel, left and right.
(If modified, to Addapt to Klein plug,
expect expenditures od about $1,000.00.
THese instruments are the darling of the
diving industry, gives you photographic
coverage of the bottom, you are boating over.
At 3000 feet per long range coverage, you could cover one mile in 8 minutes time, then come
back on examine for detail, at the 400 foot
resolution range, or at extreme magnification
at 100 foot range. Good lock
