The Wexford was downbound with a cargoe of grain from the Lakehead when she sank.not likely to find rails .The ship has no interior bulkheads and a following sea would have torn off the rear cargoe hatches and filled the entire hull with increasing amounts of water .There is no indication that the ship ever did turn turtle. The depth of the wreck is shallow enough to have winter ice at pressure ridges carry off the masts and pilot house.
The archeology is a long way from being completed future dives and a continuing log of findings will contribute to eventually knowing the true story.
