I am looking for information on the exploits of American Civil War blockade
runner "Druid". Built in 1856 by Todd and McGregor in Glasgow Scotland,
she was 160' x 21.5' x 9.5', gross tonnage 239, net 166 tons. She may
have been Canadian owned (registry 53589) and renamed Niagara in 1901. I
would be delighted to get any new info on this interesting vessel.
