To Caroline and Maggie,
I hope that you have read, or you will have the time to read very soon the information which I have provided on my articles on this Forum Web page from the Lady Elgin story which are dated 8/11/99 to 11/11/99. I'm sure that you will find my articles about Captain Jack Wilson, the brave hearted Commander of the Lady Elgin, who saved 100 surviving passengers and the heroic college student Edward Spenser to be very enlightening and inspiring to you and to all young people your age and grade. I assure you, if you liked the ficticious character "Jack Dawson" of the 1998 film "Titanic",you may find Jack Wilson the captain of the Lady Elgin to be an equally attractive and amazingly wonderful shipwreck hero to include in your research paper. After all, you may notice while "Jack Dawson" of "Titanic" saved his lady named "Rose" and gave his life for her, the real life "Jack" Wilson of the Lady Elgin did the same thing, as he rescued and won the ultimate admiration of both the men, women, and children he gave his life to rescue in the Lady Elgin disaster.
Sincerely,
Mary Saleh
