Scott, Ric Mixter has done a tremendous amount of work researching the Edmund Fitzgerald. He has produced a documentary and a CD-ROM on the ship and the tragedy of the sinking. You can reach him at WWW.MOREINDEPTH.COM.
During the raising of the bell in July of 1995, I was really touched by the ceremony performed on the surface. I felt very fortunate to be present during this occasion.
