This was a very famous shipwreck since most of the legal greats of early Ontario were lost in this shipwreck, including the Attorney General and many dignitaries, as well as a Mississauga native accused of murdering a white man. They were all going to his trial in Kingston and lost in a storm. Most early histories of Ontario deal with the loss of the Speedy. A few timbers were found but that's about it! Happy hunting!
