Looking for information, in particular on a wreck in the flats on the North side of the Middle Channel, about a mile from Lake St. Clair. The wreck is approximately 150' to 200' long with a beam of about 25-30'. The wooden hull is in good shape but the superstructure is gone, except for some decking, which appears to be made of 12"x12" beams. The wreck lies just beneath the surface on the edge of the channel. It is located almost exactly in front of the Chene Highway and is marked with a green buoy. It is shown on some charts as an emergent wreck. I have tried hard to find it's identity without success and would appreciate any information.
In addition, there is a bit of wreckage on the edge of the North Channel immediately north of the Chenal Bout Rond (Snai Bora) which is charted...again, any information would be appreciated.
Finally, is anyone aware of a source for info on Lake St. Clair and St. Clair River shipwrecks - especially those from Marine City southwards.
