The short answer is DACOR knows. There is a barge that sunk off the coast of Chicago in Lake Michigan. I'm not sure of the dates for this sinking, but it was obviously a while ago.
The Dacor Head Office, located in Chicago often takes charters out onto this barge for Dive Shop owners etc.
I am in Southern Ontario, Canada. The dive shop owner in my town HAS been on that charter. I've seen some pretty impressive film of some of the cars on the barge. Just a guess, but I think there were about 35 actual cars strapped to the deck of this barge.
