I haven't been there in a while, but in northern Lake Mi., the wreck Cayuga was one of my favorites. Not only is it a pretty good wreck in water that usually is quite clear, but it is also an excellent example of early marine salvage. This wreck still has huge steel pontoons chained to the side of the hull that were placed there in a salvage attempt. The chains were run through the side of the ship and up through the deck and around these massive pontoons. Had to be quite a project in those days, especially when considered that I belive the salvage attempt did float her for a while, with her original resting spot a bit deeper. Seems like a wreck everyone should see.
