used as a Lat-Long NAV mode to locate Wrecks

any numbers you should need. It has all the
bells and wistles of a GPS and a Loran-C machine

: : DOES ANYBODY HAVE A WEBSITE THAT YOU CAN ENTER LORAN POINTS AND FIND THE CONVERSION TO LATS AND LONGS? THANKS

: If you search the old posts, you will find some info on this. Here is a recent message posted by Brendon on this topic:

: I occasionally recieve requests from people who want to convert between LORAN C and GPS coordinates (LAT/LON). For reasons which I discuss in my article at http://www.execpc.com/~bbaillod/navi.html , this conversion is not advisable and yields a nonstandard error of 0 to .5 miles. The error is particularly pronounced in the Great Lakes due to land mass propogation errors inherent in LORAN C. However, I have located a decent freeware program which will perform the conversion to or from GPS or LORAN C for those who need an approximation and don't have the functionality in their current GPS or LORAN. The utility is a DOS program which may be downloaded as an executable. When the executable is run, the program is unzipped to the local directory. I have tested it and it appears to work at least as well as the conversion on my GPS. The utility can be downloaded at:
