: As I posted below, I am looking for the ship "City of Milwaukee". The ship does exist and a
: web site I found is trying to promote it to a historical landmark. They had a picture of it at
: the web site. The only problem is that the modern picture shows the ship has two stack,
: one behind the other. The old picture I have shows two stacks, side by side. The old ship is
: clearly marked "City of Milwaukee". Is it possible that this is a different ship? Could the old ship
: have been rebuilt? Anyone have any info?

The "modern" ship you're talking about sounds more like the "Milwaukee Clipper." It spent several fairly recent years tied up to Navy Pier in Chicago as the "Milwaukee" with the "Clipper" painted over but very visible in relief. I understand there is now an effort to restore the Clipper as a historic landmark.
