: SIDE SCAN SONAR, TOWFISH - E.G.& G. # 272, $5,200.00 - for sale.
: was $11,000.00 just recently, must sell today
: adaptations: Built in a "Saf-T-Link" automatic fish recovery system.

: Tow fish cable adapter, oceanic plug, converted from E.G.& G. plug to Klein 520, to fit Klein 3000 to 3000 foot range at 100kHz at 12 speeds: to opperate at from 100 feet to 3000 feet each side, dual channel, a 6000 foot coverage swat at a single pass.
:
: Unit can scan 2 square miles in 6 minutes, when paying out 250 feet cable and maintaining average altimeter of 40 feet over bottom, for up to three foot seas on the surface; where for some people - 2 foot seas is a better deployment plan. The first 20 feet of cable emmediately below surface, must have cable flares, to avoid cable wipping.

: Unit was calibrated 5 years ago, shaving the transducers to align for focusing, and doubler installation. Also added was a bypass feature, for "passive mode" research (as you have seen one in "Red October" sub)and if your source is a depth sounder, very wide beam; recording, at 8 watts or better output from the fish finder is sufficient. The fish finder will do as a source for the SSS receiver, to log on pictures. The SSS ion active mode, outputs 1800 watts of power per pulse per channel, both sides.

: The pinger in the fish finder is synchonized with the initiating towfish pulse signal, as control, for each picture frame. GPS marks location.

: The passive SSS mode is functional pursuant to steves redesign work at Gould Ocean Systems Hydrolab facility for final deployment in the sea environment

: The submarine body is the original E. G. & G. body and yellow paint job.

: Includes FOB shipping. Send money order or Bank Certified check.
