Do you know of a WWII bomber located by Fisherman Island, which is just NE of Rock Island in Door County? My buddy had an old Great Lakes dive map that gave the location close to Fisherman Island but he has since lost the map and I can't find any indication that the plane exist. There is no mention of it in any other dive books or maps, and if the local dive shop in Gills Rock knows anything, they are keeping quite. I contacted Sport Diver Mag. and an editor(E. Boyd)gave me a contact in Florida who might know about it because he found an Avenger off Navy Pier. Have you heard of this plane and do you have any suggestions on locating it? I figure since the water is so low this year it might be worth taking a look around the island.
