I dove the wreck a number of years ago.
It is my recollection that it was in the
shipping channel. You might want to contact
the Soo locks for a list of expected ship
arrivals/departures and schedule your dive during
a time they won't be coming and going.

The dive itself was spectacular and probably the
best GL wreck dive I've ever done. It's on a sand
bottom. There is a fairly stiff current but you
shouldn't have any trouble if you hold onto the
wreck. Plus you can shelter from the current
within the wreck. The current helps keep the
visibility good as it blows away any matter you may
kick up.

There was a guy in Sault St Marie who offered
charters to the wreck but I don't remember his
name.

A good second or third dive was located closer
inshore in about 40 feet. It was a wooden ship
with an airplane sunk next to it. Current was
even more swift there.
