For all you collectors out there, a very low priced copy of Erik Heyl's Early American Steamers, Vol. 6 (with the index to all six volumes) is being auctioned on ebay by Al Hart. These books feature complete histories and drawings of many Great Lakes steamers prior to 1870 and are quite rare. You will not find this book on any used book search engines and it is LONG out of print.
