I showd your question to model builder Jim Brotz of Sheboygan,and he started giving me a detailed description on how the chain plates were mounted. He was surprised that you were using the ALVIN CLARKS which was an early design and not the LUCIA SIMPSONS of which there are also plenty of details available. Anouther good source would be Ted McCutcheon of Detroit, a noted marine architect.
There are two masts at Rogers Street Museum in Two Rivers - one from the schooner HOME and one from the schooner GALLINIPPER. I believe the GALLINIPPERS had the ironwork still on. I have film of the scow schooner SILVER LAKE with a good shot of the foremast with the raffeeyard in place. I haven't looked at it for a while,but I believe there is a good shot of the pawl and raffee yard.
