There have always been good and bad in the diving industry. Things haven't changed all that much. It's just that instead of an elite few, diving is now popular with many. THAT is the crux of the complaint.
In my mind, while there are a lot of turkeys out there, there are also many ernest divers doing good work without having the super-training that the author espouses. That must really gall him.
