I'm working on the three masted schooner being built in Milwaukee and am trying to design the rigging hardware. I've seen an excellent photo of the lower part of the chain plates for the Alvin Clark made in a way I'm not familiar with. Since then I've come to find out its a typical Great Lakes chain plate but I no longer have the photo. The scantlings are described in one of the state of Wisconsin's underwater publications but I can't quite figure out all the details. Any information on these chain plates would be greatly appreciated. Also it seems that it was quite common not to have dead eyes for the topmast shrouds. Does anyone have any information how these were attached to the rail caps and how they were adjusted? Also has anyone seen the ironwork that would have held the raffee yard to the foremast? Thanks, Rob
