: I have the location of the "Phillips" , neat the Atlantic, at over 160 feet depth plus. This 40 foot Sub, was estimated being built at 10 years earlier than the Charlston like duplicate but wery well advertized and 10 years after. Do you want the photographs and the drawings? I have been passing Xerox copies of these drawings to divers. Research on these is very limited, is salvage related, and divers made dives from 5 years back.
: All credits are due to Fletcher, the discoverer of the main wreck. steve. For Tech divers only.
: : : A couple of my class mates and I are doing a senior research project on the ship wrecks on Lake Erie. Any information pretaining to wrecks, dates, times, weather, reasons for loss, cargo, passengers, ship names and details, location of wreck, crew, shipping companies, and any myths and legends that may have been circulated over the years about Lake Erie. Any information will be greatly appriciated and hopefully great use in our paper.

Definitely send me copies of any and all information regarding the Phillips submarine. Include only details you are willing to share with the general public. In fact, I was researching this very vessel yesterday at the Cleveland Public Library. Unfortunately I came up empty handed! I was contacted last week be a descendant of the builder of the submarine now living in Montana who requested that I post more information. If you have photos or diagrams in digital form, please send these to me at "alchem@en.com". If all you have is hard copy, mail a set to James Koch - 314 East 195th Street - Euclid, Ohio - 44119 USA. Include the copying and mailing costs and I'll re-imburse you.
