: Does anyone know of any resources for research on Great Lakes Shipwrecks? How about any Great Lakes Shiprwecks Festivals in Wisconsin? I really need some good hands-on sources for my research. Any help is GREATLY appreciated, thanks a lot.

Sandman:
The Great Lakes Historical Society's Inland Seas Museum in Vermilion, Ohio has a newly established Great Lakes Shipwreck Research Center. We have made extensive use of their materials in our two books, Erie Wrecks and Erie Wrecks East. The center is an excellent resource for hands on shipwreck research. They have extensive photo files, wreck files, original construction blue prints, and computer research resources. Ed Herndendorf is heading up this effort. Their web site is http://www.inlandseas.org/.
