Ha! Democracy in action! I suspect we're not out of the woods quite yet (I say "we" since the final ruling will ultimately affect us all), but it's great to see that the tide of public opinion is forcing a re-evaluation of this proposal. I'm the first to admit that the cause - the protection of non-renewable cultural resorces - is noble and ultimately necessary, but legislation as a means of enforcing such a cause is decidedly unwelcome. Keep us posted!
