Be very careful about buying old used side scan sonar towfish. There are many possible failure modes that can happen to old fish. If you are interested in these, part of the sales agreement should be that upon successful on water demonstration, the deal will be concluded. Klein towfish if working properly should get 100 meter range on the 500kHz fish and 300 meters plus on the 100 kHz fish.
