Hi everyone,
From time to time I start thinking about the legendary Kitty Reeves. It's that time again. If ever there were a shipwreck for me to discover, this would be it. Unfortunately, I still have no hard evidence of the schooners existence. I was able to research the coast guards wreck reports from Tawas Point, but they only date back to... I think it was around 1885 or something like that. Anyway, there was no mention of the ship at all. But I sure did admire that handwriting.
Well here I am again asking if anyone has any further information on the Reeves. I don't.
Awhile ago, I mentioned that I had found a copper hinge under about 8-10 inches of sand and stone on a remote Lake Michigan beach. Someone emailed me with what seemed like a good place to research the hinge. Whoever it was, could you refresh my memory? I thought there would be no way that I would forget the place you had suggested. Well I did. I would also like to hear anyone elses thoughts on the matter.
