I have copies of the logs from both the HAWK and WILMETTE describing their involvement in thesinking of UC 97 onn June 7, 1921. If you would like them I could email them to you if you would like. Wilmette log says that they open fire at 11:45, using 4' guns. shot 16 rounds, had 1 miss fire. sub sank , by the head, at 12:00. hope this helps.
