A new annual conference for Great Lakes historians, researchers, divers
and underwater archeologists will be held at the Milwaukee Public
Library's Centennial Hall on Saturday, March 25th, 2000 from 10:00 AM to
9:00 PM. Called the Ghost Ships Festival, the event will feature films,
seminars and presentations by divers, historians, archeologists,
researchers and wreckhunters from around the Great Lakes region. Tickets
for this event will be $20 in advance or $25 at the door and proceeds
will be used to fund the preservation of Great Lakes wrecks. The Ghost
Ships Festival is hosted by the Great Lakes Shipwreck Research
Foundation, Inc., a non profit organization. For more information, go to
