To Whom it May Concern:

I'm appalled at Bill 13, but, even worse, I'm deadly afraid of the likes of a apparent co-sponsor, Peter Englebert!!!

I was elected the spokesperson, for the commercial diving interests, at the Great Lakes Underwater Cultural Resources meetings held in Michigan several years ago.

This meeting was comprised of nine groups of approx. 15 people each. Six of the groups were various public and government agencies, while three groups were private sector, (1) recreationanl divers, (2) retail (dive shops and mfrs) and (3) commercial divers. At the conclusion of these group meetings, a summary was presented by each interest groups spokesperson, and comments were presented publicly by the audience. Attendance was aprox. 175 people.

I happened to be seated 3 seats away from Peter Englebert, when he stood up to give his opinion on how to solve the Underwater Cultural Resources (shipwrecks) diving problem, in the Great Lakes.

Peter Englebert said " We should put a moratorium on diving in the Great Lakes for fifty years. "

This man, will be in charge of " Issuing licenses for wreck site access. "

I don't know about you, but, that scares the hell out of me.
