The wreck of a twin paddle steamboat has been located in the SE part of my homestate, along the Red River. It is believed to be that of the Caddo, a riverboat that sank after striking an obstruction, April 13, 1842. I am presently helping the local historical society confirm this and trying to help all I can. I know, that this board is really for Great Lake vessels, but since this was a freshwater wreck, I thought any one reading this might find it intresting. If any of you can help me with any information regarding the steamboats from the 1830's to 40's, then I look forward to any and all assistance.
