: : Way down there somewhere, I saw a posting by B.J. Titanic Wynn, with several responses, re the Noronic.

: : When I was 17 (1948), I served on the Noronic as a bus-boy in the crew's mess, one year before the fire.

: : On Friday morning I'll be at the dedication ceremony at the pier and hope to meet up with some of the people who share some Noronic memories with me.

: I am glad someone noticed. I am presently writing a book about ships and one of my featured ships is the Noronic. Would you be intrested in helping me, by sharing your story? I would be most intrested to know something about the behind the scenes. Perhaps it would help me enrich my narrative of the Noronic for others to enjoy. Thanks
Hi,
Just came back from the show at the Pier--nice
job but I would love to see even more. My aunt
and uncle along with a dear friend were on board
the night of the disaster. They managed to escape
because my uncle was in the saloon when the fire
broke out and having worked on many ships he knew
the fastest way to wake my aunt and friend and
get them to safety. We have their room keys and
lots of clippings and correspondence from lawyers
involved at the time. Are these worth anything
and are people interested in the legal aftermath?
Feel free to contact me.
Good luck in your research.
