In response to Ghost Ships/Great Lakes. Iam from the Milwaukee area. My great grandfather Capt.John (Jack) of Milwaukee and my great uncle Capt.Jerimiah (Jerry) of Erie,Pa were involved with quite a few rescues. The most noted was the Marquette & Bessemer #2(car ferry) lost all hands.See book Ghost ships of the Great Lakes-Knives in the Lifeboat (Chapter 10). I have other articles & newspaper clippings of the tragic event that happened December 9,1909.
