On September 8, 1999, Milwaukee Public Television (Channel 10) will air "Ghost Ships: Davidson's Goliaths" at 7 p.m. This
documentary features many of Wisconsin's best dives, including the 338-foot schooner barge Pretoria, lost in the Apostle
Islands, and the steamer Frank O’Connor, which burned off Door County. The film also explores the legendary Great Lakes
shipbuilder James Davidson and takes you along with historians and archaeologists to explore some of the largest wooden
ships ever constructed. If you live in Wisconsin, be sure not to miss it. I've seen the prerelease copy and it is one of the best
documentaries of its kind.
