I can help you with some of your search and aid you in constructing a model if you wish...
However, you need to contact your local library and have them contact the U.S. Coastguard Marine Academy for the related reports and hearings concerning the Ship.
Second, contact the Great Lakes Historical Society for plans, I believe they are $15.00, but it has been a while.

I'll be glad to help you free of charge if you desire.

However, results of my research will cost $10.00 and when you put all the IDEAS to the test...only one works, that sank her.

Good luck in your own research
(Just to give you something to think about) When the Coastguard took underwater photos of the wreck, they said the Ship's bell was missing. But it has been recovered and is on display and a replica with the names of the Crew was put in it's place.

Were they wrong?

Have fun,
Rick
