: Could anyone recommend some good wrecks for beginners to dive on? I just finished my Scuba class, and will get open water certified next weekend at Tober More (the spelling may be wrong!!!). I have a boat, gear, a buddy, and a GPS, and welcome recommendations on good wrecks in the Lake St. Clair/St. Clair River area that would be appropriate for a beginning diver to dive on. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you could include coordinates so that I could locate the approximate area with my GPS, the depth, current (if significant), and anything you feel would be helpful. I am fascinated with this hobby, and would like to accumulate as much information as possible!
: Thanks in advance for any help, maybe I'll see you out there,

Dave:
We have a club you may find of interest: Great Lakes Aquanauts. Our website is accessible at: http://ic.net/~chris/GLS/.

We have an active dive schedule which includes dives for both experienced and novice divers.

We hold our general meetings the third Wednesday of each month, in the auditorium of the Farmington Hills Library, 12 Mile Road just west of Orchard Lake (south side) at 7:30 PM. You are welcome to stop in and visit.

Sincerely,
Jan Ouellette
